Regular hardware maintenance is a necessity.This includes replacing components, IT equipment, equipment or regular health checks. Maintenance results from the lifetime of the IT equipment itself, security, is usually enforced by legislation or is given by the manufacturer and helps to prevent failures and outages caused by hardware malfunctions. Set up a maintenance schedule for any type of hardware
You can set up maintenance schedules individually for different types of hardware. When you create your maintenance plan, you base each maintenance activity on one of three options:
- maintenance activities common to all hardware
- maintenance activities common to a particular type of hardware (e.g. printers, computers, servers, ...)
- individual maintenance plan only for a specific piece of hardware
When setting up maintenance schedules, you also select whether it is a one-time activity or if it is periodic maintenance for which the system automatically monitors the recurrence and alerts you when the period is completed.

Annual hardware maintenance plan at a glance
The annual maintenance activity outlook helps you to plan, giving you an overview of what maintenance activities are coming up so you can, for example, better plan for ordering them. The overview shows all maintenance activities over the next 12 months. You can export the overview to an excel spreadsheet and work with it further.
Confirming the execution of maintenance activities
Once you have a maintenance plan set up, you can confirm the completion of maintenance activity for each piece of hardware and add logs or other proof of completion.
