What is the Project Page

Project Page is a central place where you store all project-related information and documents. It consists of multiple sections and views that allow you to organize, display, and edit project details.

Key Sections of a Project Page

  • Details – Displays key project information, such as name, description, and deadlines.
  • Attachments – Stores all project-related documents, organized into folders for easy access.
  • Connections – Links related records, such as customers, contracts, or associated products.
  • Calendar – Provides a project-specific calendar to track important dates and milestones.
  • Meeting Notes (Logbook) – Records all meetings, discussions, and activities related to the project.
  • Tasks – Lists all tasks associated with the project, ensuring accountability and progress tracking.
  • Notes – Allows users to add and view notes related to the project.
  • Activity Plans – Includes checklists of required activities or scheduled actions to help track progress and ensure completion.

How to Create a Project Page in Aptien

Follow these steps to create and manage your project page efficiently:

Step 1: Create a New Project

  1. Go to the Projects Organizer (Project Records).
  2. Click the "+ Add Project" or "+ Add Job" button.
  3. Enter the required details, such as the project name.
  4. Click Save – this will create the project. You can then click on it to add more details and documents.

Step 2: Decide and Set Project Visibility

  • By default, all Project Managers can see all projects.
  • You can restrict access and decide who can view specific projects. Learn how to manage visibility settings.

Step 3: Add Project Details

  • Review the project’s details and attachments.
  • Fill in the necessary information based on your company’s workflow and requirements.

Step 4: Assign a Project Team

  1. Set your project team
  2. Set restriction or access according to your needs

Step 5: Share the Project Page with External Contractors

  1. You can share your project with external team members, such as contractors or technicians.
  2. In the right sidebar menu, find the Sharing option.
  3. Open the sharing window and follow the instructions to grant access.
  4. Once shared, external users will only see and perform actions based on the permissions set by your administrator.
