What is the Project Page
Project Page is a central place where you store all project-related information and documents. It consists of multiple sections and views that allow you to organize, display, and edit project details.
Key Sections of a Project Page
- Details – Displays key project information, such as name, description, and deadlines.
- Attachments – Stores all project-related documents, organized into folders for easy access.
- Connections – Links related records, such as customers, contracts, or associated products.
- Calendar – Provides a project-specific calendar to track important dates and milestones.
- Meeting Notes (Logbook) – Records all meetings, discussions, and activities related to the project.
- Tasks – Lists all tasks associated with the project, ensuring accountability and progress tracking.
- Notes – Allows users to add and view notes related to the project.
- Activity Plans – Includes checklists of required activities or scheduled actions to help track progress and ensure completion.
How to Create a Project Page in Aptien
Follow these steps to create and manage your project page efficiently:
Step 1: Create a New Project
- Go to the Projects Organizer (Project Records).
- Click the "+ Add Project" or "+ Add Job" button.
- Enter the required details, such as the project name.
- Click Save – this will create the project. You can then click on it to add more details and documents.
Step 2: Decide and Set Project Visibility
- By default, all Project Managers can see all projects.
- You can restrict access and decide who can view specific projects. Learn how to manage visibility settings.
Step 3: Add Project Details
- Review the project’s details and attachments.
- Fill in the necessary information based on your company’s workflow and requirements.
Step 4: Assign a Project Team
- Set your project team
- Set restriction or access according to your needs
Step 5: Share the Project Page with External Contractors
- You can share your project with external team members, such as contractors or technicians.
- In the right sidebar menu, find the Sharing option.
- Open the sharing window and follow the instructions to grant access.
- Once shared, external users will only see and perform actions based on the permissions set by your administrator.
