Computerized maintenance management system (CMMS)

CMMS is an abbreviation for Computerized Maintenance Management System. This type of software will support the organization and its maintenance teams in providing maintenance of it's assets. It contains information about the asset, its condition and helps with its maintenance throughout its life cycle. It can provide adequate records and reports for audit, is necessary for compliance with all regulations and may be required in the event of a malfunction or event. Its basic functions are typically as following:
