You can run Aptien on your own servers and infrastructure (on-premises).

What are the conditions for running Aptien on your own infrastructure?

If you do not want to use cloud services and prefer to operate the system on your own infrastructure, specifically on your servers (on-premises), you need to meet several basic technical and licensing conditions:

  • On-premises operation is only available with the Enterprise pricing plan, which requires a minimum of 10 Enterprise users
  • You must have a VMware or Hyper-V virtual machine ready on your server
  • You need to have an additional server prepared for backups
  • You must have a specialist who can manage the operation of the virtual server, backups, and system monitoring
  • You must allow us to remotely update Aptien

When is it worthwhile to run Aptien on your own server?

  • If you specifically prefer to operate Aptien on your own server. Otherwise, our cloud hosting is available. We suggest using a private cloud for enhanced security.
  • If you have your own infrastructure (server) to support the solution.
  • If you have IT staff who can handle the server's operations and backups.
  • If security rules prevent you from storing data outside your company.
