Overview of Manufacturing Equipment in Your Company

In the Manufacturing Equipment organizer, you keep an overview of various types of machines and equipment in your company. Typically, these are machines that you use in production or in operation, and other equipment (such as pressure vessels) that require regular maintenance. If you have multiple types of machines, add them using categories

  • Monitors deadlines for regular service and maintenance
  • Facilitates planning of repairs, service, inspections, or calibrations
  • Allows you to keep an operational logbook of machines

How to Plan Maintenance, Inspections, or Repairs of Machinery and Equipment

Maintenance plans are designed for those who need to plan one-time or recurring maintenance activities and want to be notified in advance of upcoming maintenance. Aptien not only notifies you in advance of individual deadlines and obligations, but also allows you to confirm individual activities. When confirming individual maintenance activities, you have the option to not only attach text information, but you can also attach any documentation about the maintenance performed, such as calibration protocols or other confirmations or documentation.

  • The system automatically monitors and alerts you to the maintenance dates of machines and equipment
  • You can see an overview for a specific machine and the overall annual plan
  • You confirm the performance of maintenance and attach maintenance reports

How to Keep a Maintenance Log for Production Machines

You keep individual records of machine and equipment maintenance in the form of activity logs in the "Minutes" tab:

  1. On the equipment item, select the "Minutes" tab.
  2. Choose "+Add Minute" and select the "Maintenance" type.
  3. A maintenance log will open, where your name will automatically be filled in, and the log will also be automatically attached to the equipment from which you are creating the log.
  4. In the "Minutes" field, record the maintenance activity - what you did.
  5. In the "Conclusion" field, record the next steps.
  6. If it is necessary to create a follow-up task, create it using the task button.

The created maintenance log is available online only using a web browser. The system provides a full audit trail and restricts access to maintenance log only to users with the appropriate permissions. Saved maintenance logs are indexed and easily searchable.
