How to Record Material Usage in Aptien

  1. Step 1: Open the organizer (projects, assets), ... 
  2. Go to the job, task, or maintenance record where the material was used.
  3. Select "Costs & Usage" tab
  4. Select "Used Materials" table (or custom table), click "Add Material:
  5. Enter Quantity used, Enter unit costs
  6. (Optional) Add a note, e.g. "Used on air filter replacement"
  7. Save

You can add multiple materials to the same task. You or a manager can later review all materials used on the task. Edits or corrections can be made anytime.

How to See Material Usage Reports

In Aptien, you can:

  • Filter tasks by materials used
  • Track total quantity used per material
  • Export material usage for cost tracking
  • Analyze material usage across jobs, departments, or time periods

Customize for Your Company

You can customize:
