How to Record Material Usage in Aptien
- Step 1: Open the organizer (projects, assets), ...
- Go to the job, task, or maintenance record where the material was used.
- Select "Costs & Usage" tab
- Select "Used Materials" table (or custom table), click "Add Material:
- Enter Quantity used, Enter unit costs
- (Optional) Add a note, e.g. "Used on air filter replacement"
- Save
You can add multiple materials to the same task. You or a manager can later review all materials used on the task. Edits or corrections can be made anytime.

- Filter tasks by materials used
- Track total quantity used per material
